I went in on a Friday around lunch and was immediately taken by the middle aged Asian fella in chair 8. I showed him a pic of what I wanted and he cut my hair in 20 or so minutes. The fade is on point and he did some great scissor work. I used to come to Barts when I lived in the area and I’ll definitely be back.

This is place is very friendly. Service is walk in only which I love. No appointments, so you know who is really next to be cut. They have usually 5-7 barbers available. Clean, friendly, fast and fair priced. I never leave disappointed. I'd put Laura against any barber in Laurel. Her bare razor cuts are 2 thumbs up. Shapes are very precise. You can tell she enjoys her craft.

I have been here three times, all for the $18 men’s haircut, and all in all it has been a rather inconsistent experience. I was very happy with the results and overall haircut I received from an older Asian gentleman during my first visit to Bart’s. During my second visit I got my haircut from him again, albeit this time around it was not nearly as desirable as my first visit but still close to what I asked for. On my third and latest visit, he was not there but I decided to give one of the other barbers a try and wasn’t exactly happy with the results (sides were cut way higher than I requested with no fading). It should go without saying, but if you happen to find a barber here who understands your desired style and gives you consistent results, stick with them.

The customer service and employees are great. Sadly I asked the guy to keep the style I had and to just clean up my sides and the back of my neck down to 1/2 guard and to the skin at the bottom. I told him I wanted a regulation cut so I could part my hair in my natural part (the style i already had). He took the 1/2 guard all the way up to my natural part which left it way to short for a regulation cut/part or a comb over.

I take my elderly father here for his haircut and to get beard and eyebrows trimmed up. Niko always does a great job and takes care of him.

My usual barber place in the area was closed for a couple weeks so decided to come visit for the first time last week. The place was busy but I made a mistake getting a cut from the very last chair in the shop where the guy didn’t speak good English and didn’t understand that I just wanted a normal fade on the sides and back. Had to explain what I wanted 4-5 times during the cut because he couldn’t understand what a fade in the back meant. I came home and noticed my front bangs are way shorter than the top of my hair somehow and looks terrible. Going to have to go to my usual barber again sometime this week to fix it. As a laurel resident for 20 years I definitely won’t be coming back here
